GORINCHEM,[url=http://www.moncleroutleto.co.uk]moncler outlet[/url], Netherlands, April 22 () -- The Bahamas has signed a letter of intent to procure naval patrol vessels from the Netherland's Damen Shipyards Group.The value of the 6-year deal wasn't disclosed but Damen said the contract provides for the company to conduct construction work for the country's naval bases and mid-life upgrading of vessels in the current fleet of vessels operated by Bahamian defense forces."Damen is a company that prides itself on the quality and performance of the ships we build," said Damen Area Director Americas Sander van Oord. "We are delighted to welcome the government of the Bahamas to our family and will strive to deliver this package on time and within budget."The package is for a nine vessels -- four Damen Stan Patrol 4207s, four type SPa 3007s and a dedicated roll-on, roll-off landing craft (a Stan Lander 5612) fitted with a crane and demountable disaster relief equipment.The Stan Patrol 4207 is for blue-water patrol and has a range of more than 2,000 nautical miles and a top speed of more than 20 knots. The Stan Patrol 3007 is specifically designed for operations in the coastal waters and shallow banks. |
