Rafael Nadal moves to third in tennis rankings; Milos Raonic 10th
LONDON, Aug. 12 () -- Rafael Nadal is back to No. 3 in the men's tennis rankings and Milos Raonic reaches the Top 10 for the first time in Monday's ATP update.Nadal beat Raonic 6-2, 6-2 in Sunday's Rogers Cup final in Montreal in a brisk 68 minutes. The title was Nadal's record 25th Masters-level championship, giving him 1,000 ranking points and allowing him to pass David Ferrer for No. 3 in the rankings. Ferrer is again fourth. It also continues a superlative year for Nadal, who missed the second half of the 2012 season due to a knee problem. Nadal is 48-3 this year with eight titles in 11 tournaments. He finished second two other times.Raonic is the first Canadian player to reach the tennis Top 10 as he goes from 13th to No. 10 this week. The Rogers Cup result was a resurgence or Raonic, who had won more than one match in a tournament just once since April, when Nadal beat him in the semifinals in Barcelona.Going the other way, is American men's tennis.
