TAPPAHANNOCK, Va., April 28 () -- U.S. hip-hop artist Chris Brown's father says he would rather his son didn't date pop singer Rihanna."I personally really didn't want him and Rihanna back together," Clinton Brown, 48, told the New York Daily News from his home in Tappahannock, Va. "You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical."Chris Brown and Rihanna broke off their relationship in 2009 after he physically assaulted her just hours before the Grammy Awards, nearly destroying his career.The two were rumored to be seeing each other again in late 2012.Clinton Brown said he believes there is more to the story than what has been reported."One has to assume because they are back together that it wasn't one-sided.
