Is the mirraco velle a good bike
Although any bike is quite suitable for all aspects of riding in my opinion. to me this bike looks like a low spec bike suitable for beginners and what not,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. it has a 20.25" frame which would be suitable for a smaller rider in height,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. This bike has a sealed bottom bracket although it has a non integrated headset but there is no mention of sealed bearings in the wheels.
personally if i was in your shoes i would save another $100 or so dollars and get something like a we the people reason. Or if you want to stick to mirraco get a mirraco no.7,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
sorry for my blabbering on about random crap aswell,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
I will never suggest a MirraCo bike again. They are owned by Trek, a major corporation who sole purpose is to make money. My friend broke his MirraCo complete frame that included a lifetime warranty. When he contacted MirraCo they instructed him to bring his entire bike (Complete bike,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], not just the frame) for inspection. He did so and was told that MirraCo contacted the shop and instructed them to keep the bike until MirraCo heard response from Trek, their parent company. The LBS had his bike for 1 full month and after constant attempts to contact MirraCo/Trek they finally got back offering their bottom-line complete frame [As they no longer produced his bike] as a replacement. Mind you he purchased their top-of-the-line complete back in 2009.
His frame developed a crack where the TT meets the ST. And they were going as far to blame his shortened Seat-post as the cause for this crack. MirraCo is a horse shit company and I will never do any business with them.
newsflash: the sole purpose of every company is making money. Trek has been making solid,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], affordable at all levels bikes for over a quarter century. they tried getting into the BMX market about ten years ago and no one cared about their bikes, so they got with Dave Mirra to make the Mirraco bikes. They have done similar things with Greg Lemond, Gary Fisher, and Keith Bontrager. I don't think Dave could have started such a large-scale company on his own,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], so Trek stepping in to produce and distribute their bikes is making lots of bicycles at different levels and price point,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which is making bmx more accessible. you can get a custom-level bike down to an entry level 16" kid's bike from Mirraco just about anywhere because Trek shops are everywhere. You can't criticize Trek/Mirraco for being a big company any more than you can blame Giant, Specialized,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Haro, GT, etc.
I have worked at two Trek dealers and they are usually very generous with warranty and crash replacements. your friend's warranty issue sounds like BS and I would have fought that. sounds like either the rep didn't know what he is talking about (the local shop does NOT call the shots on warranties,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Trek does) or your friend was running a seatpost too tall without enough in the frame. I have seen road and mtb frames crack that way and it's usually because a fat cop is riding the bike all day with the seatpost too high for the frame.
I have assembled a bunch of Mirraco bikes and their mid- and high-end bikes seem to be well-designed and welded. they might not be on-par with a US-made S or something, but those crack too. all frames break,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], no matter who makes them or where.
I have never riddin a mirraco myself, but a couple friends bought these a few years ago and the frames all have cracks somewhere. Everything else seemed to hold up good,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], wheels, bars,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fork (kind of haha),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], cranks ect. I wouldn't get one myself but we ride our bike pretty hard so I would say if you like the bike and are just starting out then go for it haha. If you are looking for something bullet proof I would suggest verde,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I have had good experiences with them in the past.相关的主题文章:
