New BOJ Gov. Haruhiko Kuroda seen as advocate of monetary easing

He also helped the bank adopt a new long-term strategy, refocusing its operational agenda on inclusive economic growth, environmentally sustainable growth and regional cooperation and integration.Before joining the ADB, Kuroda was special adviser in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and a professor at the Graduate School of Economics at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo. He graduated in law from the University of Tokyo and earned his graduate degree in economics from the University of Oxford.
